Zakk holds a two-year medical license in Massage Therapy.  He was also awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Performing Arts from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.  He taught music at Beaver Creek School System but decided that he wanted to transition to a medical related field.  After much thought and research, he decided to go into Massage Therapy but at a much more advanced level than is generally offered.  He is certified in Deep Tissue, Swedish, Positional Release, Reflexology, TMJ, Migraine Treatment, Cranio-Sacral therapy and is one of only two massage therapists in Oregon who is certified to do Body Contouring by Lypo-Massage.

Zakk was recruited by Durell Industries in 2002-2006 to travel abroad and open Wellness Centers in Eastern Europe, Chili and Costa Rica.  He made Eugene his permanent residence after visiting a friend who lived in this area.  His decision was based on the health conscious lifestyle that Eugene is known for as well as the area’s accessibility to many outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, fishing, camping that he enjoys.  He felt it was the ideal place to live and set up his medical massage center.
